If you’ve been involved with online marketing, internet marketing, generating leads online, then by now you know the importance of building a list. There’s a right way and a wrong way to build a list. I bet, chances are, you’re doing it the wrong way.
14 months ago I started my journey of online marketing. I started because I wanted to learn how to generate leads online for my network marketing business. One of the first things I learned was the importance of building a list. The fortune’s in the follow-up, but the money is in the list. We’ve all heard that, right?
There’s a right way and a wrong way to build a list. Unfortunately for 14 months, I did it the wrong way and as a result it cost me a lot of money. It wasn’t sustainable and I ended up having to stop the process.
What I did was first figured out who my target market was and then I was told to figure out what their pain was, what keeps them up at night, what they’re struggling with, what they most need help with and then you create a lead magnet which offers a solution to your target market’s problem.
What I really needed to do is have the lead magnet and then have a funnel that had multiple things to sell behind it where I could actually recoup some of my cost, but I was never told how to do that so I just used the lead magnet and kept trying to build my list that way.
Recently I decided I needed to go back to building a list. I understand the importance. I started looking at how to go about doing that, but was afraid of doing it wrong again. I heard from different people about the vending machine. You know, put a dollar in get a dollar back, but never really knew how to do that. Three weeks ago I was introduced to a system that was the answer to my prayers. It was everything I was looking for. It couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s a system that teaches you how to build a massive list, but also how to monetize it while you’re building it. How to put that dollar in and get that dollar back. Kind of like a slot machine in Vegas, but better odds of winning.
You see, you need to have a high converting proven multi-offer funnel in place while you’re building the list. This will allow you to make some sales along the way that are going to help cover your ad spend. If done correctly it could cover all of your ad spend and more. Now you’re able to build that list and you know who wins in online marketing is the one who is able to spend the most on their advertising. If you have a system in place where you’re at least breaking even on your ad spend. Think about that. That means you can keep scaling. If you’re spending $500 a month for advertising and making $500 back, why not turn it around and spend $1,000 a month if you know you’re going to make the $1,000 back.
The first step is making sure that you break even after that you can tweak it a little bit and try and be in profit mode. If you can break even and build your list at the same time, you’re winning.
Next is knowing how to market to the list. Every person on your list should be worth a dollar a month to you, but if you don’t know how to communicate with that list, especially a cold market list, which is entirely different than a warm market list, then the list is going to be worth nothing to you.
The three components are to build the list, have a funnel in place that’s going to help recoup your ad spend and then exactly what to do to market to that list to continue to monetize it and be able to move some of that money back into scaling your marketing efforts to build the list.
I learned that through a system that I caught wind of and it taught everything I needed to know about building the list and using the funnel and marketing to the list afterward. It’s an easy step by step plan. It’s a full business model. It filled all the gaps for me. It was so needed for me in my life to actually feel like I could take everything that I learned in the last 14 months and actually make money and have a business plan. As a result of following that plan, I actually earned $2,521.10 in my first 2 1/2 weeks involved in this system. I’m building my own list finally, not worrying about going broke while I’m doing it.
